Dreamland Margate is one of the UK’s best loved amusement parks. The ‘all you can treat’ resort is an amazing day out for adults and kids alike. Many have fond memories of the seaside resort over its extensive history, with the park first founded all the way back in the early 1870’s. It is considered as the oldest amusement park in Britain and is still the ultimate day out, whether you want to relive your childhood or create new memories with the whole family. The picturesque location by the sea is coupled with plenty of fun events, rides and festival fun to enjoy. The much-loved amusement park has over 25 rides, including rollercoasters and family friendly entertainment for all ages.
Your ticket includes entry to the park and access to unlimited rides with a wristband ticket. Some attractions on the site will be pay per ride, but the majority are included with your ticket price. Please note that some rides may be restricted by height, availability and age limits.
From 18 October to 1 November 2019, Dreamland is transformed into Screamland for the park’s Halloween transformation. The park also has its Christmas edition from 7 – 31 December.
Dreamland has also evolved to become a music venue and hosts gigs and concerts.

How to get to Dreamland:
By Car - The M20 and M2 Motorway are close-by to the park, making it easily accessible from London and various routes.
By Bus – The main bus routes include the 8, 32, 33, 34, 36, 56 and Loop services near the park. There are also coach services from National Express.
By Train - There are High Speed and Southeastern trains from St Pancras Station and London Victoria from London. There are also National Rail and Eurostar services. The closest train station is Margate train station which is around five minutes from the park.
Where to park at Dreamland:
There is car parking available on All Saints Avenue, CT9 5QH, which charges £7 per day.
When is Dreamland open?
The opening times for Dreamland are 11:00 – 17:00 on weekends and school holidays from the 21 September 2019. The park closes on the 5, 6, 12 & 13 October 2019, as it prepares for the Screamland Halloween edition. The Christmas opening hours are from 7 December at 12:00 – 18:00 on weekends, and the park opens daily from 21 -31 December, excluding Christmas day and with reduced hours on 24 and 26 December.
What are the opening times and dates for the Roller Room, Octopus’s Garden and Roller Diner?
The Roller Room is open every day until 29 September and will reopen on weekends from 9 November and for Christmas. The Octopus’s Garden is open every day until 3 November, and then on weekends from 9 November. The Roller Diner is open from 12 – 5 on weekends until 29 September and will be open on weekends and school holidays from 19 October. All three will operate for Christmas from 21 December.
Does Dreamland have lockers?
Yes, lockers are available. You can hire a locker from the ticket desk for £3.
