A lauded, record smashing group who put K-Pop on the map

Since debuting in 2016, BLACKPINK have caused a global frenzy with two hugely acclaimed studio albums, collaborations with fellow global superstars including Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa, all while becoming the first ever Asian act to headline Coachella and breaking countless other records.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa are now both the most-subscribed act on YouTube (with almost 100 million subscribers and counting) and the most-followed girl group on Spotify. With both their debut THE ALBUM (2020) and its follow-up BORN PINK (2022), they’ve continued to smash their own boundary-defying records, with the latter debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200 in the US, the highest-charting album by a girl group in over a decade, while also making BLACKPINK the first K-Pop girl group to achieve No.1 in the UK Official Album Charts.

BLACKPINK have taken the world by storm with their countless record-breaking hits. The single ‘SHUT DOWN’ from BORN PINK launched at No.1 on the Billboard Global Charts, while its predecessor ‘Pink Venom’ made history as the biggest single this decade by a female group or solo artist. It was also YouTube’s biggest debut of 2022, amassing 90.4 million views within the first 24 hours.

Through the years, BLACKPINK have also garnered a number of major awards (including three E! People’s Choice Awards and Best Metaverse Performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where Lisa also made history as the first K-pop soloist to win Best K-pop Act). Their live shows and tours are popular that in 2024 they released the concert film Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink] In Cinemas. The film follows several documentaries including 2022's BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, hailed by the New York Times as an “endearing documentary that emphasises each member’s individuality."

In 2023, BLACKPINK made history as the first ever Asian act to headline Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, solidifying the global appeal of K-Pop. Later that summer, they also became the first Korean act to headline BST Hyde Park in London, while King Charles III gave the group honorary MBEs for their work as climate change advocates.

In 2025, BLACKPINK announced a show at London's Wembley Stadium on 15 August 2025.

    OMG i cant beleive i saw them live back when i was a teenager, it was the best experience ever i cant waitto see them again this year at wembley stadium. Their vocals are amazing and he lyrics that they sing makes it as if you understand them
