About

The gravelly voiced Scot troubadour

Singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi had been gigging around West Lothian since he was 15 years old. He first broke through at the start of 2017 with a series of tracks recorded in his bedroom – beginning with the debut single Bruises. His debut EP Bloom followed later that year, and he was named Best Acoustic Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

Capaldi’s recognition continued to grow after he was long-listed for BBC Music’s Sound Of 2018. He even began to sell out venues like Glasgow’s revered King Tut's Wah Wah Hut.

When the Scottish artist released the emotional ballad Someone You Loved in March 2019, it topped charts everywhere. Not only did the song sit at the No.1 spot on the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks, but it also landed at No.1 on pop radio charts in the US, Canada and Ireland.

In May, Capaldi unveiled his record-breaking full-length album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent. It debuted at No.1 on the UK Albums Chart and became the biggest selling artist album of 2019.

Not only was Capaldi nominated for a Grammy, but he took home a pair of BRIT Awards for Song of the Year and Best New Artist. During the summer of 2019, Capaldi not only supported Ed Sheeran on his UK dates, but he also performed several career-defining sets at The Great Escape, Glastonbury, TRNSMT and Edinburgh Summer Sessions.

At the end of 2019, he embarked on a UK headline tour that continued into early 2020 until the outbreak of the global pandemic. Capaldi announced several festival appearances for 2021 – including Sounds Of The City, Lytham Festival, Latitude, Reading & Leeds, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and TRNSMT.

ON 25 March 2021, he rescheduled his autumn headline shows at The O2 in London to 1 – 2 September 2022.
