British hard-rock legends Magnum formed in Birmingham in 1972 and had notable successes in their early years, including 1982 album Chasing the Dragon, which spawned live favorites Soldier of The Line, Sacred Hour and The Spirit.
Magnum split in 1995, but later reformed with founding members and chief-songwriters guitarist Tony Clarkin and vocalist Bob Catley. With the current line-up a five piece, incorporating Rick Benton on keyboards, bassist Al Barrow and drummer Lee Morris, they've gone on to release seven more studio albums, including 2014's Escape from the Shadow Garden, which reached No.2 in the UK Rock & Metal Chart, as well as No.4 in the UK Indie Charts.
Earlier this year, the band released an album full of re-recordings of their most-celebrated ballads from throughout their career, Valley of Tears.
