When leaving

Please consider our neighbours and leave Somerset House quietly.

What should I bring?

There is no fixed seating in the courtyard. You are welcome to bring your own rugs, blankets and small cushions to sit on (sorry no chairs, back rests or portable furniture — inflatable or otherwise). Rugs and cushions can be purchased for £10–£15. In the instance of bad weather please do come prepared.

Food  and drink

Tom’s Kitchen Picnic Hampers are back for a second year. Prepared on site, the hampers need to be bought in advance at the same time as booking your film tickets.

A range of delicious food is available to buy on site, and there is a fully-licensed bar and coffee point. You are welcome to bring your own picnic, but we regret that no glass bottles and jars, crockery or sharp knives are allowed into the courtyard. Bag searches may be made at entrance and unsuitable items confiscated. Cans are allowed but are limited to two per person.

Entrance to double bill programmes is restricted to the film of highest certification.

Where a film is uncertificated, entry is to over 18’s only.

The screenings are open air. The audience area is not covered. The screenings will go ahead whatever the weather — come rain or come shine. Please do come prepared as no wet weather provisions will be provided.
