Somerset House has entrances on the Strand and the Embankment. For events in the Edmond J. Safra Courtyard, please use the Strand entrance.

Box Office Hours

The on site box office is operational from Wed 16 Nov, 12noon-6pm
From 23 November, the on site box office will be open standard hours: 09:30 to 21.30
On days when there is a Late Skate, the box office will close 30mins after the start of the last session.

24 December - rink open 10.00- 18.30 (last session starts at 17.30)
25 December - rink closed
26 December - rink open 12.30-22.15 (last session starts at 21.15)
31 December - rink open 10.00-18.30 (last session starts at 17.30)
1 January - rink open 12.30-22.15 (last session starts at 21.15)

Types of Payment Accepted

Cash, cheques and all major credit and debit cards accepted. Diners Club and American Express are not accepted.

Box Office Collection Accepted

Tickets can be collected on the day from the pre-paid entry point. Take the credit card used for the booking and Ticketmaster reference number as the card holder may be required to sign for the tickets.

Accessible Seating

The venue is accessible for wheelchairs. A ramp gives full access to the viewing area. The Skate Lounge is also accessible.
There are 2 dedicated skate session for wheelchairs-users on 14 December at 16.15 and 19 December at 20.00. Standard adult and child ticket prices apply. To book, customers should call the Ticketmaster Specialist Sales Team on 0844 847 1655. Electric wheelchairs are permitted but must be switched to manual setting whilst on the ice. Please note that wheelchair users must be accompanied on the ice by a competent skater, otherwise an Ice Marshall can accompany wheelchair users (at no extra charge). The companion skater ticket is free.
Pls note - due to health and safety regulations, it is not possible for wheelchair users to be on the ice at the same time as standard customers.

General Rules

No large cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices allowed on the ice.
No bottles, cans or alcohol are allowed into skate hire area/or on ice.
No bags allowed into skate hire area/or on ice, a pay cloakroom is available for your convenience (£1 for up to two items).

Children Rules

Parents must judge whether their children can skate safely.
The smallest skate size available for children is 25 (age approx 3-4 years old).
A child must be 12 yrs or under to qualify for the child ticket price.
Children skaters less than 8 years old must be accompanied on the ice by an adult.

Miscellaneous

Customers are advised to arrive 20 minutes early to get their skates on. Please do arrive earlier if you need to leave items in the cloakroom. If you arrive late you will be allowed on the ice but you may not have your full hour of skating. Tickets are only valid for the date and session time booked. Tickets are not transferable or refundable.

The smallest skate boot is shoe size European 25 (age approx 3 to 4 years old).
The largest skate boot is shoe size UK15 / European 49

Skate Lounge
The Skate Lounge serves a range of high-quality snacks and warming festive drinks.
The fully licensed bar is open to skaters and spectators.
Fine dining can be enjoyed at Tom’s Kitchen.

Spectators are welcome – no additional charge.
Please note – Somerset House ice rink is outdoors, open air and skating continues come rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.
