Aviva World Trials and UK Championships
Britain's athletes will be striving to impress at this year's World Championships in Berlin, in the first major test in the London Olympiad. The best of the British will go head to head at the Aviva World Trials and UK Championships in Birmingham, which acts as the main selection, to ensure they get their first taste of what competition they could be facing in four years time on home soil.
Aviva London Grand Prix
Britain's showpiece athletics event, the Aviva London Grand Prix, takes place at Crystal Palace as the highlight of the summer over two days, following last year's great success of the longer format. Olympic champions and the world's elite are expected to battle it out at the Palace as they look to place fear in their competitors ahead of the World Championships in Berlin the following month.

Packing out the Gateshead International Stadium, the north east public will be in for another star studded event at the Aviva British Grand Prix to finish off the UKA major events season. August bank holiday will be a superb day out for the family who will get a first look at the returning champions as they head back from the World Championships just one week earlier.
