The British Music Experience is Britain's interactive museum dedicated to the history and continual influence of popular music.
The exhibition combines iconic pieces of British music memorabilia from over 100 British artists including David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust outfit, Noel Gallagher's Union Jack guitar and Coldplay's original lyrics to `Yellow' with cutting edge audio-visual technology to learn about music's influence on art, fashion and politics. You can tailor your experience to your own music tastes from Krautrock to Dub Step, feel the thrill of being in the crowd at a legendary gig, flick through virtual record collections, witness fascinating one-off interviews between music's biggest stars, and search across a giant interactive music locations map of Great Britain.
Not only that, you can develop your skills on guitar, bass, drums and singing with step-by-step video tuition from artists such as KT Tunstall, Blur, Amy McDonald and the Magic Numbers in the Gibson Interactive Studio and record one of 12 dances from the past 60 years including The Twist, Disco Dancing, The Loca-Motion, Voguing and even Rave Dancing in Dance the Decades.
And finally, when you return home after your visit, you can log into your personal MyBME library and access all of your selected content and recordings from the exhibition to continue your trip through music history.
