Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell
Tickets Info
Tom Conti will star in the title role of Keith Waterhouses play Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell, which will open in the West End at the Garrick Theatre on Monday 19 June, following previews from 12 June. The 12-week limited season will finish on 2 September.
Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell will be directed by Ned Sherrin and designed by John Gunter. This production reunites the creative team responsible for the previous productions. Once again, Royce Mills will reprise his roles, whilst other members of the cast will include Elizabeth Payne and Nina Young.
When Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell ran a critically applauded and sold out season at the Old Vic in 1999, The Evening Standard ran a "Bluffer's Guide" to the play so that those unable to get tickets could pretend they had seen it... "thereby allowing dinner party conversations and watercooler debates to run their course unhindered by ignorance."
Tom Kinninmont and Laurence Myers, who produced the 1999 version at the Old Vic, will produce at the Garrick Theatre, together with David Skinner and Kenneth Madden.
