About TicketExchange

What is TicketExchange and how does it work?

TicketExchange is Ticketmaster's new online service that enables premium and fan-to-fan transactions. Sellers, unable to attend an event are able to put up for sale tickets they can no longer use, and are guaranteed payment, if their tickets are resold. Buyers for that event can use TicketExchange to select the ticket(s) they want based on price and seat location, without having to bid against other buyers, without having to coordinate delivery from anonymous sellers, and without the gamble that the tickets are legitimate.

Why should I use TicketExchange?

Only Ticketmaster can guarantee 100% legitimate tickets, because the tickets sold through TicketExchange are linked to Ticketmaster's ticketing systems. If you buy tickets that are sold through a source other than Ticketmaster, you have no way of knowing whether they are counterfeit or have been invalidated. However, with Ticketmaster, once you buy a ticket, we cancel the original barcode and assign you a new one, so you have the security of knowing for certain the ticket being delivered to you is valid.

Why can't I sell or buy tickets for certain events?

In accordance with the terms and conditions of sale set by the event promoters, organisers and venues, not all event tickets are able to be bought or sold via TicketExchange, but be sure to check back often as new events are continually being added.

How does the seller get paid?

Customers who sell their tickets via TicketExchange receive payment from Ticketmaster. Since Ticketmaster facilitates the transaction, we collect payment from the buyer and remit payment to the seller, ensuring a hassle-free seller experience.

How are my tickets delivered?

Depending on the event, Ticketmaster offers TicketFast® or Secure Post ticket delivery options. Learn more about TicketFast.

What fees are associated with selling tickets?

There is a seller fee for all tickets. Once your tickets are sold you will receive the posting price of the tickets minus a seller fee which we deduct. That seller fee is displayed during the ticket posting process.

What fees are associated with buying tickets?

The buyer will pay fees that are either set out in addition to the resale price or that may be included and deducted from the amount you see displayed as the resale price of the ticket.
