Nordoff-Robbins helping people in need
Ticketmaster UK is proud to support the work of the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Charity.
Nordoff-Robbins uses the power of music to reach people cut off from the richness of life's experiences due to disabilities, illnesses or traumatic experiences. Its approach to music therapy is grounded in the belief that everyone can respond to music, no matter how ill or disabled. At the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Centre in North London and the 21 projects nationwide, music therapists employed by the charity provide 30,000 sessions annually to children and adults with a wide range of needs arising from such varied causes as learning difficulties, mental and physical illness, physical and sexual abuse, neurological damage, dementia, stress and terminal illness.
Nordoff-Robbins is a registered charity which receives no statutory funding. It costs £2 million a year to fund their work, including the London Centre, their outreach projects, masters degree training courses, research and fundraising. The need for music therapy is vast with many areas in the UK having limited provision or none at all.
