Following on from the hugely successful golden summer of sport that featured the prolific Olympic and Paralympic games; 2013 is set to be yet another incredible year for sport as we celebrate hosting the Rugby League World Cup 2013. Set to be the sporting event of the year, RLWC2013 will bring the world's greatest spectator sport to your own back yard. 28 matches will be seen live by half a million people and you could be there. The tournament opens with a double-header at Cardiff's magnificent Millennium Stadium, featuring Wales, England, Australia and Italy. Wembley Stadium will host the semi-finals, while the final itself will be played at Old Trafford.

Manchester Rugby 7s Festival When: 18 - 19 May 2013

Alongside the rugby, players and spectators can look forward to variety of entertainment over the three day festival. Some of the finest teams and players in world rugby have attended and played at the festival in recent years. On the pitch Sale Sharks, Leicester Tigers and Samurai have all entered sides, off the pitch Ben Foden, Phil Greening and Jason Robinson are just some of the big names seen mingling amongst the fans.

The Marriott London Sevens is back with a roar after its summer break. After the hugely successful London games, Rugby Sevens becomes part of the Olympic family and the road to Rio starts now. The London tournament pits the finest national sevens sides against each other, in the ninth and final round of the HSBC Sevens World Series. Each competition earns the top performing nation points, culminating in London with the top scoring team across the series crowned World Series champions.
