A struggling songwriter tries to follow in the footsteps of his heroes but life, of course, never turns out as planned, and his road to middle-age is strewn with unsuccessful relationships and disappointing career moves.
On his epic journey into adulthood, he gradually realises his lifelong dreams won't be coming true, and then a big music festival gives him an opportunity for one final moment of glory.
Then again, something could always go wrong...
