Of course, no one can ever replace Jim Morrison, However, Astbury's performance is captivating. A superstar in his own right, Astbury's performance is fueled by the virtuosity and brilliance of Manzarek and Krieger. The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame alumni weave intricate tapestries of hypnotic sounds that seem top push Astbury towards the psychic edge. Musical stabs, groans, shrieks and howls emit from the genius guitar that is Robby Krieger, while that signature, swirling, spook house organ, rises from the very soul of Ray Manzarek.

The band is brilliantly rounded out by Los Angeles, monster session ace, Ty Dennis on drums and the legendary Phil Chen (Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck) on bass.

No two performances are alike. Improvisation is the rule not the exception. The hits of The Doors are performed by the founding members of the band, a singer born to share the ritual space, and two world class musicians holding down the bottom, all played with an intensity that is indeed a rare commodity in today's world of entertainment.
 
Says Krieger, "This is what we do, we play music, and we wrote this music with Jim. The fans deserve a place to go, we owe it to them, and we'll continue doing this as long as they keep coming out." The band has performed for over 1,000,000 fans in the last two years.
