Dublin City to Killeen Castle:

* From Dublin you need to get on the N3 Navan / Cavan Road
* From City Centre this is found by heading for Blanchardstown along the Navan Road.
* From the Airport by heading Southbound on the M50 Motorway to the last exit before tollbridge M50 at junction 6 signposted Cavan.
* From South Dublin by heading Northbound on the M50 Motorway to the first exit after tollbridge M50 at junction 6 signposted Cavan.
* Leave the M50 at junction 6 signposted Cavan and head North 15 miles on N3 to the town of Dunshaughlin.
* Pass through to the top (North End) of the town where you will see Peters Bar just before traffic signals.
* Turn left at traffic signals after Peters Bar and continue past schools & GAA Club.
* At the roundabout take the exit for Dunsany (straight across). Proceed down this road until you reach a roundabout, take left exit Killeen Castle Main Entrance is on right hand side approximately 1/2 mile down this road.

Navan City to Killeen Castle:

* Drive along the N3 (signposted Dublin) as far as the town of Dunshaughlin.
* Before you arrive in Dunshaughlin Killeen Castle is signposted via Dunsany. Follow these signs from the N3.
* If you get as far as Dunshaughlin, just as you arrive in the town Killeen Castle is signposted.
* Turn right at traffic signals and continue past schools & GAA Club.
* At the roundabout take the exit for Dunsany (straight across). Proceed down this road until you reach a roundabout, take left exit Killeen Castle Main Entrance is on right hand side approximately mile.

Galway City Centre to Killeen Castle:

* From Galway city centre, make your way onto the Headford Road (N6)
* Follow the N6 for about 70 kilometers (44 miles) until it becomes the M6 motorway and join the motorway (follow all signposts on the N6 for Dublin)
* Continue along the M6 for about 114 kilometers (70 miles) until it becomes the M4 motorway. Join the M4 motorway. This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue along the M4 for about 50 kilometers until you come to junction 2. At junction 2, continue straight ahead onto the Leixlip Road (N4). This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue along the N4 for about another 6 kilometers until you come to junction 1 (M50). At junction 1 (M50), branch left, and then join the M50 toll motorway. This is signposted for M50 Northbound.
* After about a kilometer (0.5 miles), continue straight through the M50 toll plaza (this toll plaza is barrier-free).
* Leave the M50 at junction 6 (signposted for Cavan, N3) and head north for about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) on the N3 to the town of Dunshaughlin.
* Pass through to the top (north end) of the town where you will see Peter’s Bar just before the traffic signals.
* Turn left at traffic signals after Peter’s Bar and continue past the schools & the GAA Club.
* You will come to a roundabout. At this roundabout take the exit for Dunsany (straight across). Proceed down this road until you reach a roundabout, and at this roundabout take the left exit. The main entrance to Killeen Castle is on the right-hand side approximately 1 kilometer (0.5 miles) down this road.

Cork City Centre to Killeen Castle

* From Cork city centre, make your way to the N8. This is signposted for Dublin.
* At the Dunkettle interchange on the N8, take the exit onto the M8. This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue along the M8 towards Dublin for about 130 kilometers (80 miles), until you come to the end of the M8. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the N8. This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue along the N8 for about 20 kilometers (12 miles) (until you come to Portlaoise). You will come to a roundabout. At this roundabout, take the fourth exit to join the M7 motorway, which is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue along the M7 for about 60 kilometers (37 miles) until it becomes the N7 (also known as the Naas dual-carriageway). Follow all signposts for Dublin.
* Continue along the N7 for about 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) until you come to the N7 junction with the M50. At the junction, branch left and join the M50 motorway. This is signposted northbound.
* After about 5 kilometers (3 miles), continue straight through the M50 toll plaza (this toll plaza is barrier-free).
* Leave the M50 at junction 6 (signposted for Cavan, N3) and head north for about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) on the N3 to the town of Dunshaughlin.
* Pass through to the top (north end) of the town where you will see Peter’s Bar just before the traffic signals.
* Turn left at traffic signals after Peter’s Bar and continue past the schools & the GAA Club.
* You will come to a roundabout. At this roundabout take the exit for Dunsany (straight across). Proceed down this road until you reach a roundabout, and at this roundabout take the left exit. The main entrance to Killeen Castle is on the right-hand side approximately 1 kilometer (0.5 miles) down this road.

Belfast City Centre to Killeen Castle:

* From Belfast city centre, make your way onto the M1 Motorway Southbound. This is signposted for The West, The South, Dublin.
* Leave the M1 at junction 8 and at the roundabout, take the first exit onto Hilsborough Road (A101). It is signposted The South, Dublin, Newry.
* Continue along Hillsborough Road for about 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) until you come to a roundabout. At this roundabout, take the second exit onto Hilsborough Road (A1). This is signposted for The South, Dublin, Newry.
* Continue along Hilsborough Road for a further 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) until you come to another roundabout. At this roundabout, take the second exit onto Hilsborough Road (A1). This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue for about another 40 kilometers (25 miles) until you come to Damolly roundabout. At this roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the Newry bypass (A1). This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue for about another kilometre (0.6 miles) until you come to another roundabout. At this roundabout, take the second exit onto the Newry bypass (A1). This is signposted for Dublin.
* After another half kilometre (0.3 miles), you will come to McCann’s Corner Roundabout. At this roundabout, take the second exit onto the Newry bypass (A1). This is signposted for Dublin.
* After another five kilometres (3 miles) you will come to Cloughogue roundabout. At this roundabout, take the second exit onto the A1. This is signposted for Dublin.
* Continue straight ahead onto the N1 (you are now entering the Republic of Ireland). At junction 18, continue straight ahead onto the M1 motorway. This is signposted for Dublin.
* Around 50 kilometers (31 miles) after entering the M1 (junction 18 of the N1), you will come to the M1 toll plaza. Continue straight through the toll plaza.
* 30 kilometers (18.5 miles) after the M1 toll plaza, you will come to junction 1 of the M1 (this is the junction of the M1 and the M50 motorways). Leave the M1 at this junction, then at the roundabout take the third exit onto the M50. This is signposted for Other Routes, Southbound.
* Leave the M50 at junction 6 (signposted for Cavan, N3) and head north for about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) on the N3 to the town of Dunshaughlin.
* Pass through to the top (north end) of the town where you will see Peter’s Bar just before the traffic signals.
* Turn left at traffic signals after Peter’s Bar and continue past the schools & the GAA Club.
* You will come to a roundabout. At this roundabout take the exit for Dunsany (straight across). Proceed down this road until you reach a roundabout, and at this roundabout take the left exit. The main entrance to Killeen Castle is on the right-hand side approximately 1 kilometer (0.5 miles) down this road.
