After wowing more than 750,000 people across the country in previous years with stunning ice performances, skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will headline the fourth UK tour of Dancing on Ice and lead an all-star celebrity line-up to Arenas across the country, starting on Thursday 8th April 2010 in Sheffield.  Tickets will go on sale from Monday 2 November. 

All of the celebrities will be trained and choreographed by Torvill & Dean, who will also perform on the tour.  The celebrity line-up will be announced soon, together with the panel of rink-side Judges who will critique their performances.

The five-week UK tour will travel to Arenas in Sheffield, Newcastle, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Belfast.  At each performance the audience will have a chance to vote for their favourite skating celebrity.  Replicating the format of the hit ITV1 show, they will be able to use their mobile phone to text vote for their favourite dancing couple.  The audience votes will then be added to the scores from the Judges to decide the winner.  Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a magical finale.   As with the previous tours, all profits from text voting will go to charity, more than £80,000 has been raised to date.

A DVD of the 2009 Dancing on Ice touring show will shortly be released by Universal; ‘Torvill & Dean's Dancing on Ice: The Bolero 25th Anniversary Tour' will be available to buy from Monday 9 November.  The fifth series of Dancing on Ice starts on ITV1 in January next year.
