Belton House Spitfire Prom Tickets

Lincolnshire's summer events season starts this year on the 4th of June at the National Trust's Belton House, nr Grantham, with the world famous Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.  Organisers of the event are proud to reveal that the evening will be launched by an air display of not one but two Spitfires from the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, the station crest of which is another National Trust property, Tattershall Castle.

Lincolnshire's summer events season starts this year on the 4th of June at the National Trust's Belton House, nr Grantham, with the world famous Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.  Organisers of the event are proud to reveal that the evening will be launched by an air display of not one but two Spitfires from the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, the station crest of which is another National Trust property, Tattershall Castle.

Belton House is one of the National Trust's most magnificent country houses.  After having a break for a couple of years 2011 see's its traditional Spitfire Prom return in style when it plays host to the world renowned Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.  The RPCO play all over the globe and carry the reputation of being one of the finest orchestra's in the world.

If that wasn't enough the evening will be launched by not one but two World War Two Spitfire fighter aircraft flown by the RAF's very own Battle of Britain Memorial Flight(weather permitting) and finished with a glorious fireworks finale.

All this takes place in the gorgeous grounds of the National Trust's Belton House.  The stage will be set on the oval in front of the main house and, if the weather allows, the back of the stage will be dropped allowing the magnificent building to form the back drop to the evening.

For those who haven't been before there is no dedicated seating for this event, so please bring your own picnic rugs, blankets or chairs.  There will be food and drink on sale but you are also more than welcome to bring your own picnic!

The event takes place on Saturday the 4th of June 2011.  Gates open at 6pm with the evening starting at 7.30pm.
